Serving Routt County

Routt County United Way

For more than 30 years, Routt County United Way has provided a united effort to anticipate the health and human service needs of our community and to raise and allocate financial resources to help meet these needs through our member agencies.

We work to help kids succeed; impact and stabilize families; assist emergency crisis intervention; and empower people to live healthy lives. In 2013, United Way has two main funding categories: Core Funding (safety net and crisis intervention programs) and Community Impact Funding Areas. Community Impact Funding Areas receiving emphasis for the next 3-5 years are: economic self-sufficiency; at-risk youth; and affordable, high-quality early childhood education and child care. Any agency requesting program funding from Routt County United Way must provide services to Routt County residents that fulfill a human service need.

Routt County United Way is governed by a 20-member volunteer Board of Directors. Our paid staff consists of one full-time director and two part-time assistants. The board meets the second Wednesday of every month from noon to 1:15 p.m. in First National Bank of the Rockies conference room. If you plan on attending a meeting, please contact the Routt County United Way office at (970) 879-5605 to confirm the date and location, as periodically, either may change.
